Hello Reader,
You’re receiving this because at some point, you chose to ride the cosmic waves instead of resisting them—and signed up for the Cycles newsletter.
All times are given in U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
This week in the sky:
Business as usual this week—some squares, some trines, but mostly the Moon making its way through Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn, and Chiron reentering Aries in its retrograde motion.
Save your energy for next week’s Full Moon on Sep. 26. It promises to be interesting.
In the meantime, here is what we have this week:
Monday, Sep. 14
The Moon enters Scorpio at 2:44 am, making us collectively more insistent on the truth, more resilient in facing ugliness, and less prone to fall prey to lies.
The Kidney flow is associated with Scorpio, but as it starts with the little toe, it might be hard to reach. Instead, I offer you the Second Method Correction.
Here is the sequence from my Traveler’s Guide to Healing (TGH) site:

Tuesday, Sep. 15
No lunar or other shifts on Tuesday. From 11:30 pm Tuesday until 12:41 pm Wednesday, the Moon is Void of Course, during which inertia is high and it is virtually impossible to change course or start something that isn’t already in motion.

Wednesday, Sep. 16
The Moon enters Sagittarius at 12:41 pm and shifts the mood to exploratory, social, and adventurous.
Watch how I harmonize Sagittarius through the Diaphragm Flow in this video:
Thursday
Chiron, the "patron saint" of apparently impossible situations that open our perception to new realities, reenters Aries as part of its retrograde motion.
So, for Thursday, I plan to give myself the SEL 10 — Breathing JSJ self-help flow to keep the energy moving, for that is all we need to find our solutions. I posted the self-help sequence on my TGH site:

Friday
At 4:44 pm on Friday, the Moon enters its Void of Course phase. Before it finally leaves Sagittarius in the early hours of Saturday (for the US East Coast), it forms a square with the Sun and marks the First Quarter of our current synodic cycle. (Synodic means a cycle measured relative to the Sun.)
It is a good time to check: Did something take root from the last New Moon's inner work? Or do we need to "plant" again at the next New Moon?
I asked for insights on health and well-being, so on Friday, I’ll take stock of what I received and how it is working out for me.
Saturday
At 12:55 am, the Moon enters Capricorn and shifts the mood from expansive, visionary, and adventurous to pragmatic: What can you do about the issues currently sitting in front of you?
Capricorn is efficient, but in a manner very different from Virgo. Virgo will pull out the label maker and rearrange the utensils in the kitchen drawer. Capricorn will assess whether your labeling system is effective and whether your kitchen needs an entirely new system of operation. Capricorn is also excellent at delegating tasks to others—by hiring someone to clean the house or redesign your space.
Sunday
Sunday continues with the themes of Capricorn. If you wish to give your Capricorn executive energies a boost, you can do the JSJ Umbilicus flow.
This Archive article explains how I pair Astrology and JSJ:

Steady the system
The Third Method Correction is considered the “emergency room” of self-help, and I’ve used it on all sorts of occasions, like this one from 2022:

Third Method (one side)
Step 1. Place your right hand on top of your head and your left hand on the coccyx.
Hold for as long as it feels comfortable and you enjoy it.
You can find the full sequence in the very first blog post I published on the TGH site:

An Interlude
“Transformation happens quietly. The turmoil, loud shrieks, and noise are all signs of resistance against that transformation. Real transformation always occurs beneath the surface—quiet, solid, invisible, and permanent. The quieter and more still you are, the more profound it becomes. You will not see the final result until it is complete and you return to the mundane world. In the meantime, less doing and more stillness is required.”
– Meditations, 8.3
We are in the middle of deep transformation, collectively and individually. Remember, this process can be brief and dramatic, or longer but more gentle. For now, it appears that we, the readers of this newsletter, have chosen option B...
This week gives us some room to breathe, process, steady the shaky parts, and regain our footing in the new world that is emerging. Do not rush around or take on more tasks than absolutely necessary.
Think of the imagery of the Seven of Pentacles—a person standing beside work that is well underway but not yet complete. We are in the middle of it. The good news is that much of the work is behind us. The “bad” news—we still have a way to go. 2027 will be just as challenging as 2026, albeit in a different way. Pace yourself.
Take time to be still and reflect. That space in the silence gives you an opportunity to make better decisions, see through shifting and turbulent illusions, and decide for yourself what you want, what you are going to let go, and what you are going to let through.
Preserve your energy. If you are impatient or antsy to do something, take up a hobby or a skill that stirs your passion for learning—baking, hiking, dancing, sewing. Get busy mastering it.
The mundane chores of chopping wood and carrying water will carry us over turbulent waters more safely than fretting or anxious thoughts ever will.
Don’t forget to breathe!
