Hello Reader,
This appears to be a relatively quiet week in terms of major astrological shifts. All times are given in US Eastern Daylight Savings Time (US EDT).

Plan ahead: Mercury Retrograde starts next Full Moon, June 29
The next Full Moon, on June 29, coincides with Mercury turning retrograde. So, plan ahead and get your external affairs in order this month because, come July, our communication and perception antennas will be focused inward. It may be the perfect time to take a vacation, slow down the pace of life, pause and smell the roses, enjoy a cup of tea, and simply be.
More on Mercury Retrograde and what it means, skip ahead to the Go Deeper section.
This week in the sky:
Monday, June 1
Mercury enters Cancer at 7:56 am and hopefully our senses get a little break from all the information bombardment we've been under. Cancer is a water sign concerned with calming and comforting our senses. Mercury will spend an unusually long time in Cancer because this is the sign in which it will undergo its second retrograde period of the year. Not a bad place to get some rest from the barrage of information and mental excitement.
The Moon enters Capricorn at 9:19 pm and that too should feel like a slowdown from the expansionist and adventure-loving Sagittarius Moon of the previous two days. This shift will also help us focus on what really matters, establish some boundaries, and create healthy self-sustaining systems.
Tuesday and Wednesday, June 2–3
The Moon will stay in Capricorn during these two days. Check where Capricorn is in your chart and focus on getting things done in that area of your life. For me, Capricorn is in the 4th house, so I'll spend time on family and home.
Also, during June 3–4, Mercury squares Neptune. Mercury will be at 6 Cancer while Neptune will be at 6 Aries. If you have any planets or angles at 6 degrees of any cardinal sign (Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, or Aries), this square will resonate with them and may bring tension between the rational and intuitive aspects of the mind.
Double-check communications, directions, and assumptions during these two days.
Thursday, June 4
The Moon enters Aquarius at 9:45 am and shifts our mood from pragmatic Capricornian attitudes to a more open and experimental frame of mind. It may feel like a lightness in the overall mood or simply a willingness to try something new and improve something old.
Friday and Saturday, June 5–6
Friday sees the Moon continuing through Aquarius. The next shift happens on Saturday at 8:43 pm when the Moon enters Pisces and the tone shifts toward something more spacious, kind, mystical, and healing. Pisces is also deeply connected with our ability to create or appreciate music, so if nothing else, you can make or appreciate music during this time.
Sunday, June 7
The Moon continues in Pisces and will shift to Aries only on Tuesday, June 9, at 4:33 am. So from Saturday until Tuesday morning, give yourself permission to simply be.
Go deeper
In how many different ways can I write about Mercury retrograde? Or Pluto's non-negotiable transformations?
As it turns out, quite a few.
Over the last five years, I've accumulated a substantial library of articles and stories in the Cycles Newsletter. I've begun gathering some of the best pieces into a single Google document that will serve as an evergreen archive.
At the moment, you'll find articles on Mercury Retrograde, Saturn and its role in the natal chart, and the transformational power of Pluto. I'll continue adding more material as I work my way through past newsletters and organize our growing collection of resources.
In the meantime, you can explore the archive here:

Steady the system
The Mediator Harmonizing Energy flow in JSJ is a very powerful flow. In fact, according to Wayne Hackett, the left and right Mediator flows were the original flows that Jiro Murai gave to others when he first started teaching.
The Mediator always feels wonderful to me when I receive it from a practitioner. But if you don't have a practitioner around, you can do it in its self-help variation.
Mediator Left Side
Sit with your knees touching. Place your right hand on your left shoulder (SEL 3). With your left hand, make a circle with the thumb placed over the ring fingernail.
Mediator Right Side
Sit with your knees touching. Place your left hand on your right shoulder (SEL 3). With your right hand, make a circle with the thumb placed over the ring fingernail.
Enjoy the lightness that follows.
The Moon enters Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces this week. If you wish to use JSJ flows to harmonize the Moon's energy, here is the list of correspondences:
Sagittarius — Diaphragm FE
Capricorn — Umbilicus FE
Aquarius — Gall Bladder FE
Pisces — Liver FE
I'm still running my Gall Bladder experiment, which I wrote about on the TGH blog. Nothing to report yet.

Hindsight
On Saturday and Sunday, I pulled out all my favorite crystals and stones and left them outside overnight. I figured it was a good time to air them out a little and let them enjoy the Full Moon energy of May 31..
The rains finally moved away from our corner of Northern Virginia, so I was also able to make sun tea with some of my favorite flavors by leaving glass jars out during the day for the Sun to shine through them. Yummy!
Overall, despite the Mars square Pluto, my week was uneventful. How did it go for you?
